Shattered Myth
We once thought it a god, It was said to rule the night, The regulator of men's passions. We gazed upon it with awe and fear. Galileo shattered the myth, He challenged dogma. We can now see, There is no man in the moon, It is not made of cheese. It is only a place. Full of wonder. Mountains, Valleys, Craters, Volcanic plains, And brilliant ejecta fields. The myth was shattered, A world discovered. John H. Gámez Photo: John H. Gámez
